A cow moose gave birth in the neighborhood and spent the next day with her newborns in our back yard. Joni left the gate open while mowing the lawn and they decided to move in. Instead of doing yard work Joni was glued to watching the newborns and documenting the day.
The twins (one boy and one girl) still couldn't walk very well so they spent most of the day lounging in the grass.
Mama taught them well - to devour plants in the matter of seconds.
Mama had a few good scars on her, probably an old run in with a bear or a vehicle.

A few steps from the door. Not the brightest idea, but after observing he all day you could tell mama wasn't too worried about having people around.
